I'm a newbe so I have a question. Are the night rides on easy, moderate,or agressive, trails, and how well can you see?

Well this one is a tricky one to answer. Trail difficultly is not one size fits all, there are many factors that determine this, like rider experience & skill, and how comfortable a person is with what they ride or drive, and last but not least trail conditions too. What might be a moderate trail when dry, can quicky become a difficult or extreme trail when wet!!
This ride is posted as a moderate ride, and most of what I expect we will be riding for this ride will be just that! Mostly tight trails with several up & down hill sections, but probably not anything with long extremely steep climbs, the longer climbs are broken up with switchbacks, so it not just stright to the top!! LOL

As far as seeing to ride at night, I have never really had any problems with this, even before I install the HID'S. You definitely need to pay closer attention to the trails after dark, but you get used to it pretty quick...mainly look out for low hanging limbs and branches that can come out of nowhere and ruin your night!!

Night riding is not for everyone...but I lovem' and try not to miss one!!
Hope this helps

Thanks I appreciate the info. I'm use to riding on back of my husband,we just bought another new Artic Cat,so I'm on my own now.As long as my ATV can do it ,I can hang on like velcro,I'm a horse trainer,so I'm use to a rough life! LOL

With as large of a group as what normally shows up u should be fine mostly the problems occur when u dont get to whatch a simialar machine to your own navigate an area. Lol stick with like ATV's similar in performance as yours and u will be fine. I know that its not just the machine but also the rider that makes a diffrence in how well someone can go over terrain. Last night ride i had some trouble in a few places that i probably wouldnt have, had i been a little more prepared and alert. Seems like these longer trips take alot out of me and my machine. I have an add on craigslist looking to trade to something more comfortable and better on gas if i am to continue being a part of the club.

Yea, that makes sense,we plan on a side by side in the future,of course we will keep our Cats to. Thanks! I think I would be fine.If I have any trouble I'll just throw my winch around something and drag me out. LOL

night rides are a blast, and there are and will be enough people to help you if you get in a bind. or just use my rule of thumb "when in doubt, throttle out!"

this will only be my second ride with the club but i have rode with a lot of other people and i must say they make it enjoyable.

I'm sure hoping we can go,the way it looks now , we can, so oboy, oboy, oboy. Oh yea, I have a question, is our full tanks enough gas for the ride, we have a 250, and a 350, Artic Cat????? I have one of those flat ATV tanks ,it only holds 1.5 gal. tho!

You can purchase a yearly permit at anytime at the Windrock Park Campground Office. They are located up the blacktop road just past the Windrock Lodge coming in from Oliver Springs on Windrock Rd.

Last night ride i went thruogh alot of gas but thats just me. I would expect to go the whole way on a totally full tank on the smaller cc machines. But its always better safe than sorry.
