When you come into the Parking Lot Area of Windrock, The Snack Shack where you get permits is on your left. Directly across the street is a parking area with a Shed/Pavilon. That is is.

Thanks...

Speaking of permits, if I buy a yearly now, will it be good through 2013?

Happy Thanksgiving!

I went and picked up my machine yesterday. Thanks Ritchie's for the quick turn around. New axle, lower seat cushion, and a clean bill of health. Lets ride!

Hoping someone can provide a bit more info regarding the ride tomorrow. A family of 5 from out of state is considering the club ride. There are 3 kids and 2 adults all on sport quads. The youngest is a girl around 10. Is this ride doable on a sport quad? Could the planned route be to much of a challenge for the kids? I realize it depends on their skill level. Just trying to provide them with some info so they can make an informed decision and for everyones benefit.

there are sections of the ride that may be hard for the smaller machines/riders, nothing the club cant help them through. i know thats not much help in your informed decision. here's the route for tomorrow so everyone has an idea of what to expect.

Start out on Trail 1
Left on Trail 2
Right on Trail 16 (all the way, stop at Waterfall)
Right on Trail G1
Right on Trail 18a
Right on G18
Left on Trail 18
Left on Trail 28
Right on Trail 29
Left on Trail 30
Left on G8
Stop at School House for Lunch
Left on Trail 33
Right on G1
Left on Trail 11
Right on G1
Right on Trail 9
Left on Trail 37
Right on G34/Trail 34
Left on Trail 13
Left on G9 up hill into the Strip Pit.
Stop at Overlook

if we can get through that and people still want to ride we will go out g39 to T6 and make our way down to the 70-80 trails on the west side. last time i was out there we seen an elk and a bunch of turkeys.

Thanks for the response scottymac! I have passed on the planned route so they can decide what they want to do. See everyone in the morning.

Mike,

I see several trails that will cause the parents alot of work to get the Sport Quads thru. It really depends on the age of the children and the experience level. If they are use to riding sport quads in our type of terrain they probably will be okay. Depending on the age of the riders, they could become tired out early on this ride. Riding a sport quad in this type of terrain requires some stamina.
