For now, it is supposed to be a DAY ride. I think the July and August rides will be at night. More information on this ride will be posted a little later..

Update..
This ride will be easy to moderate and about 50 miles. The destination will be the monuments at Militia Hill. We will leave the lower miner shed at 9:00 am eastern time. All riders must have a land use permit and must sign the club waiver. Hope to see you there.

Re: June 18, 2016 Club Ride

Hello. Just joined your club on-line/Paypal this morning. My wife and I are planning to attend on the June 18th ride. We live Close to Chattanooga and never rode Windrock, thought we'd give it a try. We ride tandem on a Honda ATV. I hope it's okay to ask some questions on this post.......

1. I read you are leaving from the lower miner shed at 9am eastern. Is this close to the general store? Do folks usually get there early for a meet & greet?
2. We plan to purchase our permits thru the Comfort Inn where we're staying. Any problems with that or should we buy from the store or somewhere else?
3. Is the best place to unload and park the truck at the general store area or do you recommend somewhere else? Thinking of security.
4. A 50 mile trip up to the monuments at Militia Hill. What is the pace usually, leisurely of ?
5. Do most of the riders take extra fuel? I've never been 50 miles on one ride before and don't know if a full tank of gas in a Honda 420 will be enough.
6. We don't own or wear helmets. Will this will be a problem for anyone?
7. I read we will need to sign a liability waiver. Is that something that's done at the meeting prior to the ride or do we need to print one off somewhere and bring it with us?

Anything I'm missing? Looking forward to the ride and meeting all that attend.

Re: June 18, 2016 Club Ride

First of all welcome to the Club. Let me see if I can answer all your questions.
The Lower Miner Shed is located across from the General Store. We encourage everyone to get there early to get their permits at the store if you don't have one already, get unloaded, sign the club waiver, be at the drivers meeting and be ready to pull out by 9:00. To keep on a schedule, we need to leave on time. Everyone normally parks at the Lower Shed. They have security around and personally we have never had any issues. Regardless you still need to lock things up. The pace of our rides are slow to some and fast for others. Our rides are easy to moderate. You should have enough gas if your tank is full. If you are not sure, you might want to take a little. Also make sure your machine is ready to do the 50 miles. We don't push the issue of wearing helmets but we do want everyone to be safe. The waiver you will sign will be available the morning of, before the driver's meeting. Just one more thing we remind our members, we do not allow alcohol on our rides.

If I didn't answer all your questions, just let me/ us know.

Re: June 18, 2016 Club Ride

That pretty much covers it, thanks. We'll be there early to meet everybody and yes I'll bring fuel just in case. Nice to hear this is an alcohol free group.

See you then...............Pat

Any idea of route? Thinking of dropping by to sign waiver and catch up as soon as we can get away.
